Story : Prabhudeva
first silent thriller movie Mercury. There is a background noises and the
insistent score by Santosh Narayanan that is present in every other scene. The
movies opens in a bungalow in a hill station where the five youngesters have
convened for a reunion. At night time drive turns the tragic when they run over
a man (Prabhudeva). The action shifts to a mercury plant where a leak had taken
place decades ago, causing many deaths and irreparable damage to the region. As
far the thriller go, there are no big scares that mercury delivers. Prabhudeva
as the entity is scary at first.
Verdict : Mercury
movie Prabhudeva acting is beautiful and the way how filmmaker has tried to
tie-up corporate disasters to the film story is commendable. However, as
thrillers go, this is one of the better ones that we have seen this year.
